Hello. I'm Joan Moules. I write books, short stories and articles.
My Writing
With my love of variety I go in for romance, crime, sagas and non-fiction.
I have written some poetry but one of my daughters is the true poet of the family (see Sue Moules).
If you click on the Books Page it will tell you about some of my novels, including the three that were published last year (2007): 'Tin Hats and Gas Masks', 'The Straw Halter' and 'It's One of Ours'.
The Gracie link will take you to the Gracie Fields page and the order form
for the special offer biography for £4 (normal price £7.99).
The Stratford-upon-Avon International Festival of Literature, 18th - 20th April 2008
I am delighted to have been invited to speak about Gracie Fields and my other books at the inaugural Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Literature in April, alongside such authors

Colin Wilson, the author of The Outsider;
Writer, jazz drummer, and wine importer, Sebastian Peake, talking about his father, the novelist Mervyn Peake;
Martin Val Baker, discussing the work of his late father Denys Val Baker;
Canadian playwright and actor, Brian Gordon Sinclair;
Garry Kilworth; horror novelist Mark Morris
and former Warwickshire cricketer, Paul Smith, who will be talking about his autobiography 'Wasted?'

Meet the Authors
This successful event has taken place, as part of Selsey Festivities, in August for the past couple of years. It is an informal session, which attracts a number of published authors (over 20 were there last year), who welcome members of the public to talk about writing generally as well as their books and stories.
A special mention, and thanks, are due to Peter Lovesey and Simon Brett who, last year, delighted the assembled audience with their unique readings and performance!
'Meet The Authors 2008' will take place on Tuesday 19th August - more details will appear nearer the time - so 'watch this space!'
Agent
I don't currently have an agent but I would like one - if there are any out there looking for a hard working author.
You can contact me via email.
I hope you enjoy browsing round this site and I also hope to meet some of you at conferences, book signings, and talks during the year.
